Just hit 2k miles and noticed a noise when i go over speed bumps. So took the car in today and they said the front left strut needs to be replaced. The guy in the shop said this is the 4th or 5th car he has seen with the same problem on the 09 fx. Once again I love the car its great. just writing this as FYI....Thanks

 

The FX doesn't run struts up front anymore. The front suspension layout was changed to a double wishbone setup for '09.

 

Hahaha thanks for letting me know. I will have to ask that dealer guy why he said he changed the struts. He called me yesterday and told me that the front left strut was bad...lol.... I am gona surprise his a$$ when i ask him...So what do you think they changed??

 

strut, shock whatever its the same god damn thing. nit picking what people call things. Tomato, Tamoto, potato, patato, same ****.

technically its a shock and spring a strut is what the fx used to have with the macpherson setup but its a double wishbone setup now.
