If it doesnt get reported to your insurance company then you wont have to deal with raised rates.

If he was hydroplaning, the VDC wasn't going to save him. I'd check your all seasons wet rating and hydroplaning resistance, because a lot of all seasons really don't do that great in the rain. You can find summer performance tires that do far better in wet weather.

once you hydroplane especially on performance tires you're in trouble. you're not going to throw on aquatreads or even snow tires just when the weather gets bad especially every other day now in NYC it's been crappy weather.

You sure you were going 40mph. I don't believe you, in order to do all that sliding around, you had to be going at least 41mph.
