Got a Sedan loaner

So my 03 coupe is in the stealership for service... got a Sedan (either 05 or 06, not sure)... and I wanted to see if the people who said they liked the sedan better had any reason to say that...

1. i know it's only a few minor differences on the interior between 03 and 05, but damn, the REAL brushed aluminum makes SUCH a difference... it looks so much cleaner and classier. not a huge deal, but i kinda wish i had it...

2. the BLUETOOTH is amazing... i definitely wish my coupe had it. i wish there was a way to have it without having an externaly mounted aftermarket system, i wish i could get an aftermarket integrated system like comes on the 06s.

3. the intellikey is so cool! its only a minor savings in time and effort, but it's one of those things that would be so nice to have.

4. the seats definitely don't give as much lateral support... going around curves, they don't hold me in as well. also, i notice the suspension is not nearly as good as the 6MT suspension.

5. the damn sedan MOVES. its an automatic, and i KNOW its my imagination, but it feels faster than my coupe under normal driving. i feel like it takes less effort to go fast with the auto tranny. i know that if i pushed my coupe hard, it'd beat the 5AT sedan, but i like having the power right there. maybe with the 6MT, the fact that i have to shift to go faster keeps me from going so fast, whereas with the auto, its just a lot easier to go faster because it shifts for you, and you dont have the psychological "i shouldnt keep upshifting bc i shouldnt go any faster" hehe

6. the sedan is definitely a nice-***, classy car. but for all the people who like it better because they think sedans are more functional or whatever... if i wanted a G35, id get the coupe all over again-- and if i wanted a sedan, id get the new 330i or the new IS350. the G35 sedan is NICE... but it just doesn't look half as good as the coupe or the BMW/Lexus sedans. it sure performs well, though.

7. my gf always complains about how she cant adjust the passenger's seat more in my 03 coupe. she feels a lot more comfortable in the sedan. and i agree, its more comfortable... but id still keep my coupe.

bottom line is that the little additions for 05 and 06 arent that major, but they add so much to the car. i wish i had them =) i still cant wait to get my car back, because its sexy as hell!!!

Comparing a BMW 330, or a Lexus 350, to the 06 G35 sedan, those are both less roomy and fully loaded as a G35 with all the options would cost nearly $10K more. I looked at both before getting mine, just didnt make any sense. Also the BMW interior is BORING as heck compared to the G.

yeah i wasnt really taking price into account. if i had the money and wanted a sedan, id take the 330 or is350 over the G35 sedan just because they look 10x better... but hey, im happy with my coupe because it has it all. except brushed aluminum, bluetooth and smartkey!!!! =)

that's definitely true because although i didnt like the e90 bmw at first bc i thought the rims and taillights were ugly.. but i got used to the taillights and one day i saw one with the biggest sport rims in charcoal, and i absolutely fell in love, at least for a sedan. and ive seen and driven the IS350 and think its absolutely amazing and beautiful. and im not trying to hate on the sedan owners here, but the sedan just doesnt look sporty at all, it looks plain and boring. i mean, it looks classy. but plain and boring. theres no interesting lines like the G35c, e90 BMW or the new IS. im just generally biased against sedans but the BMW/Lexus are the only exceptions. sorry to insult your car, i just think infiniti could do better. and yes, the 07s do look a bit better, but still arent sporty looking enough. i know the point of a sedan isnt to look sporty, but still, i dunno...

The coupes must be really sluggish. I had my 03.5 sedan in for the fuel line recall and had an 05 sedan loaner. That thing was a pig compared to my car. Made me appreciate my mods very much. Also made me appreciate my charcoal interior. The lighter colors dont wear well.

For me the choice between the Sedan and Coupe was pretty simple. I don't seem to have enough headroom in the coupes yet I have a inch or two in the sedan.

What I like about the Sedan
-Headroom
-Cheaper
-Chrome trim around windows (love it or hate it I guess)
-Is it my imagination or is narrower than the coupe?
-Still looks great

Coupe
-One of the best looking cars period
-The sounds they make

If there was a little more room inside the coupe, I'd probably be driving one but for me the differences aren't night and day.

I had a 06 loaner Sedan the other day. While there are differences from the 03s and 04s I'm not regretting buying a 03. Despite there actually being less plastic in the in the 06, it actually feels like there is more to me. The aluminum trim just doesn't cover enough of the centre console. The plastic around it seems to stand out so much more than in the 03. The clock shouldn't be mixed with the temp displays and compass. I do like the leather material on the inside door handgrips. And the shiney interior door handles look great too.

The exterior of the 06 looks great. Less obvious plastic looking stuff is always a plus.

While it would be cool to have a brand new car. At 60,000KM my car still feels every bit as good as the new one.

I'm can't wait to see the 07's. I know that I'll want one but I'm not sure I actually need one.
