Well I just came home from the tint shop, when I came home I noticed a couple of tiny bubbles, not to much of a big deal. Then on the rear 2 side windows, there are 2 or 3 light scratches in the tint, about half inch long or so. You have to look really close to see them. The guy said the tint comes with lifetime warranty. Should I take it back and have them redo it, or does every tint have some slight imperfections?

i havent tinted my g yet but i tinted my old corolla a while back and it was flawless

if it isnt noticeable and you can live with it then dont bother

but on the other hand you did pay for a quality tint job and deserve a quality tint job

just depends if you want to go through the hassle

good luck

btw, any pics of bubbles/scratches?

Its up to you, I have a couple of TINY TINY bubbles, but mine has a lifetime warranty too, so I will probably take it back in after I accidentally scratch it or something. As far as the bubbles are concerned, give it a few days (even a week), those could go away as the tint "cures" on the windows.
Make sure you dont roll down your windows for a few days though!

Give it a couple of days to see if the bubble clear. I know with my tint I had a few bubbles that went away after a couple of days of drying.

+1 for not rowing your windows down!

I had mine done a month ago and I still have bubbles and lines. I am having it redone next week. I don't think perfection is too much to ask for!

if it's only small bubbles or scratches and not too noticeable, I would just leave it. The tint will eventually get scratched anyways. Besides no tint job is ever perfect, there will always be something wrong, and the next try might end up worse. Redoing the sides is one thing, but I would not get the back redone, as the defroster lines may get messed up.

I see you live in Glendale.. where did you have it done? Was it a small shop or a shop that specializes in tint?

I got it done in Pasadena, at "Tony's Window Tinting". My friend got it done at the same place and his looked pretty good so I decided to give it a shot. Ill post some pictures when I get a chance...

All of the tint jobs I've seen have some minor imperfections and the tint will likely get some scratches in time. Mine is pretty good but there is some lint from the towels/bounty they use and they have a disclaimer in their warranty aout that.

My tint had hundreds of bubbles in it when I picked it up. They all went away after about 3-4 days as the tint cured. I found parking in the sun speeded up that process.

Your tint..............

If you have imperfections in your tint take the car
back and tell them to do the job right! You may
have paid $150 for a quality job, make sure you get
one! LOL
