I've performed no mods to my G35x yet. I love looking at what everyone else here does, but between a new house and my golf addiction my free cash is spent elsewhere.

Yeah on a classic I would do little to no mods.

Still to each their own. These are great cars out of the box and there is nothing wrong with keeping them just how they are.

Not a fan of black wheels on white cars. But besides that your car is $$$$$!!!

I totally disagree, I would do very different mods to a classic vs. the mods I do to my G or any late model car. On classics you have to be more true to the OG styling because just having the car look cherry is like a mod in itself, but on a classic I would go for custom interior, paint, electronics (that are inegrated into the original style i.e. still look somewhat factory). And old cars on Air Bags look ****ing awesome.

Now if you are talking about owning a Challenger or Barracuda that you bought new or a few years old back in the day, Hell yeah you want to keep that thing 100% stock and garaged, but those cars are rare. I believe the only cars of today that have any chance of becoming classics like that are cars like the Mercedes Benz CLS 63 AMG. Limited productions that in a way are modded from the factory.

If you are a strict Utilitarian that really doesent car about how fast or special your car is as long as it gets the job done and keeps you comfortable then you obviously have no reason to do mods. It is like throwing away money, but for the rest of us it brings us great joy, and we like to stand out, and look better than all of YOU so thanks for not modding. Everytime I walk to my car I get a big smile on my face, and everytime I have a chance to go WOT I do the same. I love my G and I love my mods, and my car isn't even that heavily modded. Like TTrank I try to mod tastefully and not go over the top with Pimp My Ride style ****, it is all about looking tastefully aggressive.

these are just my thoughts and opinions I am sure others disagree.

The Benz CLS63 AMG

Yeah I agree. It depends on the classic car. When I posted that I was thinking of a 59' vette (that is a car I want one day). But some classics look great with major mods. Look at what Foose does to some cars!

My intentions when I first got the car was to get OUT of the scene. I was done with my S2000 and my 240's. Then I got the itch again, and this time it was a pretty big itch.

I know what you mean, my problem is I like most everything about my car and don't want to change much, if anything, about it...for example I looked through the whole selection of wheels in Tirerack the other day and didn't find any I like better than my 5-apoke 17s.

I guess I'll need new exhaust one day, and I wouldn't mind a little power bump with a plenum spacer, and those Nismo fronts look nice compared to the 03's...DAMN, now I've got the bug!

I tried to keep mine classy and clean, not contemporary and what's hot at the moment. That means no black face wheels, crazy exterior mods, super dark tint and slammed to the ground. All I need to do is keep it shiny and it'll just as hot as any ride.

My only plans is a very moderate drop, around a 1" in the front and a 3/4" in the rear and some sways bars and I'll call it a day.

IMO stock= ur officially old.....LOL. J/K

I hated my g stock, it felt like I was driving a rental.....Now that it is dropped and an intake, it feels a little better but I plan to do a couple of mods....Not to much to make it look tacky though...

I think you can make the G look really nice fairly easy......but on other cars its a pain in the A$$.....Aslong as you do it clean then its okay....

I would keep alot of cars stock but I cant afford those kind....

After owning the same car for 4.5 years, I want to rejuvenate my G sedan by changing it cosmetically, such as putting the Nismo body kits on, adding roof spoiler, adding side visors, changing the "G35" to "350GT" and replacing my stock Bridestone 215/65/17 tires to Goodyear Eagle F1-GSD3(?) 235/50/17 tires, at least those are my upcoming plans....but mechanically I want to keep it as stock as possible.

Like ttrank was saying, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You gotta go with what makes you happy. If stock works for you, more power to you. But if you like to step it up a notch with some toys, nothin wrong with that either! Kudos to any G owner!!!
