What kind of gas do you use?
What kind of gas do you use?
Someone today told me not to use super because the engine will always need it in the future. Said mid was just fine for the G. Any ideas?

Use super dude.. unless you plan on staying stock and never using the car for performance purposes. Whoever told you to not use super will end up not having a proper running vehicle soon enough. I know vehicles come with knock sensors in the case that the fuel doesn't have the proper octane in the gasoline used. However dont refute the fact that even the user manual says to use octanes "91" or higher (I think lol). correct me if i'm wrong.. but for all I know, my G has been running the way it's supposed to, and I use super.
my dealer encouraged me to use regular unleaded..he said as long as i start using regular unleaded and stay consistent i will be fine..
nonetheless i still use "super" or premium..

I think what he's trying to say is after buying the car and putting so much money in to it, the total value of the car with the aftermarket parts is probably close to $60k and if so, why put cheap gas in to it? That makes sense, right? Cause if he paid $60k for a G, he's got to be the dumbest motherf**ker on the planet...

Aint that the truth, I Think EVERYONE here should ONLY buy Shell gasoline. It is the best quality gasoline out there.
I've heard this argument about how there's no difference so many times. All I know is that when I kept using regular or plus in my old car which said premium fuel only, it made funny engine noises like there's something wrong with it. When I went back to premium, the engine sounded better. Happened in my old TL. The difference you save by using regular vs premium, usually about 1 or 2 bucks at most. I really don't think that's enough to make you have to think about using regular.
