Cool First Time Pulled Over in the G

I have to tell someone, someone must know this story and help me understand if I am lucky or the law is messing with me.

I am 24 years old and have had the G for a little over a year. I have never been pulled over, and usually drive very much within the law. Well today I am on the highway coming back from lunch and it is pretty much empty. So I say what the heck and drop it into 4th and run it up to about 110. Yes stuipid, but I don't do it often. Well about 3 miles down the road ( I am now doing 65) a cop comes up behind me and bang I am pulled over. At this point I am thinking it was bound to happen after 8 years of driving.

So I pull over, turn off the engine and remove the keys. I put them on dash in plain view of the officer and get my paperwork out and ready for him. He is acting like a dick (as well he should) and askes me how fast I was going. I told him 75 (not really sure when he clocked me) and he said try just below 90. He then says "showing off for your buddies in the fast car". I had two of my coworkers in the car with me. In reality it was just a spur of the moment thing, but hey I got caught.

So he goes back to his car and I am expecting to get towed at this point. In PA 31 miles over the speed limit is 5 points and loss of license. The speed limit was 55 on this road so you do the math. 5 minutes go by and he comes back to the window. I appologize for my actions and tell him this is my first speeding ticket. He then says 14 magical words to me "I am not giving you a ticket. Just drive smart buddy". And this is in a township outside of Philadelphia which is notorious for giving out speeding tickets to everyone.

So while I am ashamed at my actions, I am also relieved not to have gotten a ticket. I just can't figure out why he didnt give me one. I was with two of my buddies, in a nice looking sportish car, going 90. And he just let me go. Not even a written warning. Is the law just messing with me or did I just use up all of my police karma for the next 10 year?

Anytime a cop lets you go...be thankful for it. He might be messing with you, but in the end, if you can get away without a ticket. Be happy and thankful.

The other fustrating thing is I have been driving that road for 8 years and I know everywhere they sit. I have no idea where this guy came from and he didn't even tell me where he clocked me... I feel like he was distracting me while someone else put a bomb under my car or something haha. I am always vigilant with my rear view mirror. Anyway I guess I will just count my blessings.

Man you are lucky. I got my first ticket with my G before I even bought it. It was duringthe test drive at a dealership in Mission Viejo. I am from San Diego so I wasnt familiar with the area but I was driving within the speed limit. So the assmunch salesman goes "open her up so you can feel it," im thinking this guy knows this road better than I do, so I did. 2 Seconds later I look to my left and see a motorcycle cop hiding in the bushes. Dammm!! When the officer stops me me he tells me as well as the salesman that he has given the Infinity Dealeship as well as Audi next to them several warning in the last couple of months. So I got the ticket. Then the bastards atthe dealership go, well we cant help you ith the ticket unless you buy the car. Ain that a B&%^&%$!!! Well I got a 2006 6mt. sports suspension, navigation, aero package, basically fully loaded and they threw in low jack for 40,756 out the door. Seemed like a good deal. Oh well the ticket put a damper on the day.
