Question taking G to dealership...

i will be taking my 2006 6MT G to the dealership this Monday. Things to be checked out include:

1) squeaky driver's seat
2) squeaky rear brake (12k miles only)
3) oil comsumption test (dammit...me too)

i have 25mm wheel spacers installed in the rear. should i leave them on, or should i remove them? i am afraid the dealer might give me a hard time saying that they are the cause of the premature wear on the brakes. i know, i know... they have to prove that the aftermarket part directly caused the problem (even though a wheel spacer and brakes dont have any direct relationship, but still).

also i have an engine spacer. will they give me a hard time about that too in relation to burning oil?? anyone have experience with this?

take all 3 spacers off. why give they the opportunity to blame it on you. i always go back to stock before taking it in

The dealer near me (South Bay Infiniti) only have Sedans so No FX Also, for the seat, they tried 3 times and they can't get that damn noise to go away. They also replaced the entire seat with no joy. So, I say don't get your hopes up on the seat.

However, if I were you, this is what I'll do. When you are about to go on a trip, have them fix the seat but bring it in on Friday and then now you have a loaner for the entire weekend (even you know they won't be able to fix it). They had my car for a week and I got two free tank of gas off of it

My driver seat squeaks too but usually I can't hear it with the music up loud. 90% of the time I'm in the car I have the sound blasting, can't hear sqwaks and rattles.

hahahahaha, I do this as well.

But we should turn the music down for more reasons than one.
