REV light
OK, the REV is supposed to be on, its whats irritates me. I dont care about the shift light, i know how to disable that. Im just talking about the light that says REV

No, you can't turn that light off. It stays on all the time.
It bothered me when I just got my G, but now I don't even notice it.
Take your instrument panel apart and disconnect the light if it bothers you that much, but not worth the hassle imo.

You could save yourself a lot of effort if you would, instead, just view it as an encouragment. 
I understand the reason that it's always on, which is really rather simple. You can imagine the number of appointments that would be made with dealerships if there was simply a flashing red light that would sometimes come on, but would go away before it could be read.. But I can also understand that, for some people, it catches the eye and registers as a problem-indicator light, so is annoying to them.
If you have to, pull the dash. That's really your only good solution if you don't want it displayed any longer. Or you can try changing the way it registers with you, as it's not overly bright or causing any other problem besides the perception issue.
