How can you say nothing to do with the post, we're talking about badging your car as something it is NOT. your car is a Infiniti G35, not a Nissan Skyline 350, regardless of what it's made of... so by your logic, it is acceptable to re-badge the Dodge Caravan as a Chrysler Town and Country... or the Ford Taurus as a Mercury Sable? it's the same thing, actually it's closer relationship because the driver sits on the same side.

ok your totally missing the point here and it seems like you got offended....your fist arguement was totally irrelavant to this post the 2nd one was even stupider..were talking about sports cars not crappy mini vans or Ford Taurus lololololol

im not trying to make a point as to whether its ok by my logic..i was just stating that i bought the badges and i wanted second opinions. There are probably hundreds of 04-07 owners who have already done this badge change..i dont know if there are any town and country owners who have even contemplated making that change.. The G35 ---> SKYLINE is an acceptable change/arguement seeing as tho i am not the ONLY one who has thought about the badge change......

and for the guy who said the 350z comment...you know how many 91-96 300zx i have seen with a fairlady z badge on it ??i personally thought it was pretty dam cool to do that look

I've seen a few SKYLINE rebadgings here in Los Angeles - They look pretty good. Not my sort of thing, but hey, go for it.

Rebadging a car into something it's not. Hm, A 4 cyl mustang is not a cobra.

But the Nissan Skyline 350GT is a Infiniti G35. Same chassis code, same motor, same tranny (with the exception that all V36's in Japan are AWD and only available in automatic) I don't know what part of that you don't understand.

If people want to rebadge it as one, I say go for it.

It's just like adding wheels or tinting taillights, you're trying to make your car unique and different from everyone elses.

De-badging. Re-badging. Heck its all about what floats your boat!

If you got the badges, heck, use'em and be happy. Thats all that really matters.

Not to beat a dead horse, but it's you that was offended, and I'm sorry. you asked for opinions and I gave mine, if you didn't like my opinion that's fine, but no need to get defensive or offensive about it telling me it's stupid and irrelevant and has nothing to do with the thread... I thought I had a clear opinion. To Clarify if it's still unclear... No, I don't think you should badge your car as something it's not.

Frankly I'm surprised there isn't a law against this. just as it's illegal to advertise a business on a non-commercial registered car, it should also be illegal to replace distinctive marks that mis-represent your cars "Official Registration" In the case of a hit-and run or criminal activity conducted with a vehicle its a method of deception against witnesses that might have seen the vehicle leaving the scene.. not it's a g35, no it says skyline, no it's a Nissan 350, no it's a GTR, no it's not.... I guess again here, I'm irrelevant and my opinion wasn't asked... what was the first sentience in your original post?

it's amazing how many people get pissy on this forum, but now that I see the results of this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sedan-v36-2007-08/138952-demographics.html I have a better understanding why.

hey its America and we are aloud to customize our vehicles. If i hit someone and they tell the cops it was a skyline hey thats not my fault. If i get hit by a E55 AMG what am i going to tell the police an AMG hit me? So that was pretty dumb to make that a point.

Im 24 and i work just as much as you do if not more and have just as many responsibilities. I work in 3 different countries so that little comment about age is just as irrelevant as your opinion.

Well, at least a Skyline at heart and in its roots.
