Come on you live in Fort Lauderdale you must see Mecedes Benz on a daily basis with AMG badges that are not AMG's. This sort of thing is no different.

With respect to badging.... when in doubt badge down, not up.
Actually funny thing cuz today i was behind a 06 coupe with the skyline,nissan,350gt badging in the rear and a custon grille in the front with nothing ,and it looked pretty hot IMO. It had a nice body kit nice exhaust and nice 20 deep dish wheels IP. I thought it looked clean as hell.....couldnt get a race but o well

He wouldn't race cause he knows what it is. Badges don't make it faster. If they did I'd throw some GT40 badges on all my vehicles.

I dont have problem with rebadging their cars, but the logic does not make sense as you will be down grading your car from an infiniti into a nissan. Now why would anyone do that? I guess to each their own.

for me, being familiar with the skyline's history and heritage, i had no question that i wanted my car to be a skyline, not a g35. open your door, or look at any of the stickers that's on your car. does it say infiniti? no... it says nissan motor co. what kind of oil filter do infiniti dealers use? nissan. who built our engines? nissan. there isn't an infiniti motor co., it's just a marketing scheme to appeal to americans like some of you i see here. only a few are familiar with the skylines (even fewer know anything more than the gtr's in the 90's), and nissan positioned their usdm skyline as an upscale, "luxury" brand. because who wants to drive a nissan? i feel so rich driving the luxurious and high-class "infiniti"...

as for the rhd comments, unless you're going to change us traffic laws and get everyone to drive on the left side of the road, please...

This is hilarious. You are in the US. You did not buy a Skyline. If you want a Skyline pony up for one or don't pretend your G35 Coupe is one.

It's that simple.

How do you feel alright putting Skyline badges on your car?

What kind of example are you making by saying because our oil filter is Nissan, that you should rebadge the car a Skyline?

It's just like Lexus/Toyota, Acura/Honda, Audi/VW/Lamborghini, etc.

You don't buy a VW Passat and then stick an Audi A4 badge on it though.

lol how is passat an a4? ever heard of a v35 skyline coupe? it's the exact same car, built under japanese traffic laws and regulations. what's a g35? did infiniti build it? are they using "infiniti" parts? i think not. we are driving a nissan car, branded as an upscale "infiniti" to attract uneducated customers seeking a high-class brand image. not all skylines are gtr's, which you seem to think (that i should "pony" up for a skyline? i'm driving one already... built under us laws). go check a japanese nissan site, and look at the skyline page.

anyway, i don't mean to argue, and this topic has been beaten to death already. unless you intend to pay my car payments, i will do what i want to do with my car, thank you. i don't expect everyone to like it. i like it, it's different, i pay for my car and put it in the garage every night. if you don't like it, so be it, don't do it to yours, i don't care. can't we all just get along...

meh, whatever.... do what you want to do.

If I saw an IS300 badged as a Toyota Altezza I would laugh. This is no different. Like you said its your car do what you want.

ok ok ok this is my last reply in this thread..... dude... you just told me a VW PASSAT is the same thing as an audi A4??? OK lets get one thing clear those two vehicles use the same chassis yes, but they are NOT the same car.Totally different interior and exterior cosmetics..V36 SKYLINE and Infiniti G35 are EXACTLY the same vehicle built in the same factory. Same inside same outside same everything minus badging. Infiniti is a brand in the US not a manufacturer. The name Skyline has a rich heritage as a Japanese sports sedan icon. We finally get the goods from Japan and some of us like to represent it. When all is said and done we are inside the vehicle enjoying it no matter what anybody on the outside thinks... if a person sees my car regardless of what badging is on it they gonna be like...dammm thats a nice car...there not going to say OOOMMMGGGGGG THATS AN INFINITI G35 WITH JDM BADGES ON IT... I CANT BELIEVE THEY DID THAT..OMMMGGGG ITS TOTALY RUINED As far as i know those cars turn heads. I mean its not like i got a riced out honda hatchback with TYPE -R emblems all over it.

Im in a 40k 2007 Infiniti G35 which also happens to be a NISSAN SKYLINE...
