I think you're referring to the GT-R.

Anyway, back to the topic.
Well what's wrong with rebadging? It's the same fvcking car except it's left side driven. The G35 is still a JDM with NAM modifications to meet US spec regulations. If you're rebadging, you gotta do at least the whole exterior, if you can do interior, that's better. I wouldn't leave the "S" though.

Now I do like some rear debadging, it really seems to clean the back end up.
I'm with you Wayne. I really don't understand the purpose of rebadging either. Maybe it's an age thing.

All I can think of are the losers that I make fun of all the time that have a crappy 4cyl mustang and buy the cobra badge and slap a few on the car. or the BMW fools that buy the M badges and slap it on their 525 but still have 16" wheels to where it's blatantly obvious they are driving a base BMW.

Don't do it. it takes away all the class that comes with the car, cheapening it up big time.

I think the whole rebadging thing is to separate your car from everyones else's to make it unique and take the car back to its roots, and really has nothing to do with age . I mean its not like your killing the car or totally making it ugly and not appealing, someone isnt going to drive by see the change and be like ohh that must be some young punk kid, but to someone who actually knows about domestic and foreign models it would make sense to them. Forinstance if you see a G35 drive by and it has a Skyline on the back youd be like oh thats cool. Your not going to be like..OMG!!! how in the hell can he do that to his car now its totally ruined.

If your in Japan and its Nissan and you change the Skyline to INFINITI then that is just stupid because your changing the vehicle MODEL name to a US Brand Name. If your in the US your changing your Brand Name emblem (which doesnt matter cuz you still got good ol Fuji) to the vehicles Model Name(JDM) but your still keeping the infiniti logo..IMO makes more sense.
But in the end its all preference right? lol.. i have the emblems in my house and im probably not going to end up putting them on

clean without all that clutter. I didn't rebadge my Z and call it bluebird or
WTF ever they call it in Japan.......dumb, useless mod!

Sorry, I still don't get it. As for the age comment, what I meant was someone younger is more likely to rebadge their G than someone my age or Wayne's age.

Hey Canuck how old are you and Wayne? I mean im 24 and to you thats probably still pretty young right? But at least im not some 16year old whos mommy and daddy bought them the car.

And to that guy who said let me change my 4cyl Mustang to a Cobra..well that has absolutely nothing to do with this post because G35 = Skyline...exactly the SAME CAR!!! same engine, same cosmetics, same everything..except right hand drive...

Actually I just got thinking and when I was younger I can remember rebadging my car with a smaller engine badge of the same model car then what I really had. Just to keep the sleeper effect.

Yeah, I 34. I certainly don't have any issues with rebadging either....it was just one of those thing that I really never understood.

HaHa, Sahne, when I was 19, I had a new '68 Mustang, LOL, and for a short time, I removed the horse on the grill and replaced it with an SST, of all things! Know what that came from? I bet Wayne does!
