Two clicks when I cut the wheel either way

Hey,

I have a 2004 5AT Coupe, and when I cut the wheel either way 100%, I hear two clicks. Any idea what that could be?

Thanks

Do you hear the clicks while turning the wheel, when the wheel is in the same position each time, or only just before you hit the turn limiting stop. My wife's old '95 Maxima did that while turning. Turned out to be the thrust bearings on top of the front struts where they bolt to the strut tower. If you hear the clicks just before you reach the turn limit stop, it could be just need of lubrication on the limit stops.

Yeah it seems like its JUST before the turn limit...should I just take it to Infiniti and see what they say or is this something that I should be maintaining on my own?

If it's under warranty, take it in and let them tell you what's wrong and get them to fix it.

Most steering racks will click when you bottom them out on either side.

I've always heard it wasn't good to do so, as you're working the rack at it's most extreme angles of operation.

Never heard of this problem, only the rear axel click which there is a service bulletin out for to get the rear axel bolts either replaced or re-torqued

I had this sme problem when i lowered my ride....I found out that it was the front camber kit rubbing on some bolts but it cleared it self after a while.

Sounds like your Clockspring. That's normal from what I have seen.
