Living in NYC it's mostly stop and go traffic here so I always take my G everytime there's a roadtrip. I see it as an opportunity to really "open" her up. But I do agree, after 3+ hours of driving the seats were not the most comfortable.

i have been back and forth from phx,az to oc, ca countless times in the G... great road trip car if you have 3 ppo tops.. maybe 4 for the sedan.. but if you book a light ahead of time.. that would be more cost efficient.. us airways roundtrip is like 120 + tax so im gonna start flying soon(that is if im only going for the weekend).. if im gonna be there more than a week.. ill take the car. and the lumbar support really does help when you use it on road trips..

Drove from Jacksonville, FL to Philly, Pa then to San Diego, Cali back to Jacksonville... the G didnt miss a beat, one of the most fun trips I had been on. For those with the back issues, the lumbar really helped me out.

I frequently drive from San Antonio back home to Brunswick Ga on the SE corner of GA. 16+ hrs, other than azz fatigue its pretty smooth.

I have an '05 G35c, 5AT. I've done NM to Tenn and back (about 2,500 miles), and several 600-800 mile round trips up to Denver or west to Phoenix and back. I had no seat problems and was quite comfortable. I'd recommend a clear bra rather than a cover. It's kept my G nearly chip free for more than 2 years.

i drive the ~800 mile roundtrip from LA to San Fran pretty often. if you're worried about bugs and chips get a bra or clearbra. at least for me, flying is cheaper. but i hate driving the M back at home

I drove 1000 miles in one day and I loved it. I am not a small guy either. Dont worry about the bugs, its part of driving a car.

I drove from Boston up to Toronto last summer with my boosted G. I taped up the front since it is fg.

Thinking back. It was a GREAT ride. I was very comfy. The G is great on the highway. I took a few extra stops to check up under the hood. That's bout it.

If you are talking gas to a plane. I would check up on how much the plane tickets are. Because I knew that a plane would be cheaper.. but I really wanted my car up there so I could get around.

I do about 1000 miles a week in my honda civic. No complaints but I have one of those memory foam pillow on my butt and lower back. You wont believe how much it helps out with the drive.

You can pick them up at target for like 20 bucks and they help out ridiculously.

I commute 1200 miles round-trip every month with the G, all I do is wash the car immediately after each trip and claybar any leftover bug residue. Get the bugs when they are somewhat fresh and you should be good. But that's just me, I have a black obsidian G so I try to keep it clean but I enjoy washing my baby.

Rock chips...that's another story, just don't drive close to cars
