Woo Hoo New Engine Is Coming

Well I'm sure some of you have seen my posts about my oil consumption problems. I found out last week that I will be getting a new motor in a couple of weeks under warranty. I am pleased that Infiniti is a stand up company and are standing by their warranty. I just hope that I don't have the same problem with the new motor. I haven't heard about any repairs or remedies for the revup motors oil burning issues. I bought my G with approx 13,xxx miles on it. So I didn't get to break her in myself. I am going to try and break in the new motor properly. I should get my new engine in about 2-3 weeks per my service advisor. I will upate after the install. And good luck to others out there going thru the same crap. I know how frustrating this can be just keep your cool and keep good records of all service visits.
Btw I think one of the reasons I got a new motor was because of how impecablle I maintain my car. The service manager even came by and told me how nice my coupe looked. He took one quick glance at my car after the second oil test and told my sa to order me an engine.

Congrats bro!! I just picked up my G from the dealer yesterday with a new motor. The new motors are supposed to have revised piston rings which should solve the oil consumption problems that we all had. I have 15 miles on my new engine so I just started breaking her. Good luck with your new engine.

I'm in the middle of an oil consumption test myself, so I'm hoping Infiniti will take care of me the same way. Good luck with the new VQ
