I put a set of spark tube gaskets for a 2000/2001 maxima in with my last order from the rock. Supposedly a direct fit if you drill the baffle to get the old ones out (a la RnDfactory).
My only worry is that the plastic is brittle (which has been a theme for my g) and I'll end up having to replace the covers anyway, but will only be out some change.

Use a drill with a clutch on it and use a new hole saw, the plastic is brittle but with the clutch set at like 12-13 or so it's not an issue.
EDIT: The spark plug tube seals you will get will be a smaller outer diameter and there's going to be a pretty significant gap around the outside edge, just fill it with permatex ultra grey and let it set for 24 hours (make sure you clean ALL the motor oil off the mating surfaces or it doesn't adhere, wipe thoroughly with brakekleen). Use motor oil to lube the inside diameter of the well seals when you go to install because they're a VERY tight fit around the spark plug well seals, I strongly recommend you test fit them all prior to installation into the VC, make sure you can physically get them to slide over the spark plug tubes. When installing the VC you will need to massage them all individually to get them over those tubes, just be patient and don't try to hammer it on or anything.

Ohh and if your seals fit better then tell me exactly what brand and part number they were. I still don't know exactly what seals my friend hooked me up with but I've done 2 G's and 1 Z using them and it's been a pain in the *** each time. I would love to find better fitting seals.
