The G37 has MANY changes compared with the G35 in both styling and performance departments. A redesign is what it is... simply a redesign. The G37 is definitely not a redesign.

You may be thinking that brand new model means that Infiniti has some out with a completely different car and calling it the new... X35 or something... but brand new models are known as next generation.
Sorry, but the G37 is most definitely a redesign, in better words, a refresh, if you will. It is not a brand new model. It is a new generation of the previous model, its not brand new. The G was a brand new model in December of '02, it was a car Infiniti had never released before. All body panels have been redesigned, the interior has been redesigned, engine has been reworked, but internally, its the same car. All most all the dimensions are exactly the same. The upcoming EX, is a brand new model. When the FX was first released, it was a brand new model. The G37, is a refresh, of the current G35 coupe. You have it backwards homeboy.

The value of the original Coupe should not be affected by the release of the updated G37 Coupe. If anything, it may remain strong for those who favor it's design over the G37.

This sounds like the argument about C5 and C6 'vettes

Anyway, it will go down in time, just probably not instantly

Umm.... in my post that's what I meant by brand new model....

next generation = brand new

I guess I just have a different idea of what brand new model means... the G37 may not be completely different in terms of styling on the exterior, but the saying goes... "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and I don't now why people would expect the dimensions to be so different on a next generation car either. To my knowledge, the engine is one that Infiniti has never used before and it's also their first time using VVEL... I wouldn't call that just "reworked".

In Canada the previous gen G sedans didn't take much of a hit when the 07 came out and they still haven't so I'm not worried. Then again, I'm planning to keep my car for many more years as my daily driver so I couldn't care less.
