Getting Smogged with illegal parts?

How is this possible.

Basically i have no idea how i would go about smogging my car when taht time comes around.

I do not have any highly illegal parts, but some minor engine mods, (plenum spacer, injen intake 1992 is that illegal?, ur pulley set).

i have now purchased a utec? illegal?

and am now looking to purchase true dual exhaust, (quite illegal).

how would i go about passing smog with a turbo (it will be soon enough).

i tried posting a thread like this in the so-cal forum because i am from CALIFORNIA, but i got no responses.

LEMME KNOW HOW YOU GET YOUR ILLEGAL CARS SMOGGED. please?

a true dual exhaust is legal, not having dual cats is. Depends who you talk to who can help. people always know people who know people that can pass anything. $$$ talks

with the existing mods you should be fine unless they are supper nit picky of visual. Stillen's CAI is CARB certified now - you could always switch your intake. It's doubtful that they will even notice the plenum spacer. You exhaust should be okay... Do what most of us do - keep your OEM parts and install them prior to inspection.

TT will be another story.

what part didnt you get, true dual is legal but you have to have two cats, one for each exahaust pipe.

Why all the fuss..........?

A true cat back exhaust is totally legal (even in Ca.). The only place you
get into trouble is if you run test pipes. (thus removing the cats) I'm not
looking forward to my smog test either and I have the same mods that most
of you do.......WTF time will tell!

You either have to buy only carb'd parts with e/o numbers, switch your parts back to stock when its time to smog, or the easiet way just pay extra and dont deal with any of that crap.

Just a tip for a fellow member, noone in there right mind is going to say they'll pass on here because:

1) They toast if the state catches them
2) I believe whats said on here is admissable in court
3) its a huge red flag for anyone looking around on here
4) The ones that do it, do it for money not for fellow members.

Hang out around a performance shop, make friends, theyll have someone.

Don't know the year on your G, but nothing to worry about untill 2009 if yours a 2003. Biannual tests start at 6yrs from new.

Spacer I say your prob okay, but idk. Make sure plenum cover on so less noticable.

Air Intake has to be CARB approved and you better be sporting the sticker if it is, otherwise tech will fail you on visual without sticker.

UR pulley set...hmmm...not sure, but I would think okay. Pulleys don't affect the combustion emmissions directly.
Guess that one would depend on how **** the tech is on visual inspection, though pullies have nothing to do with the air/fuel/exhaust/emmission portion of the engine I'd think.

Utec...prob illegal, but hard to see visually. Depends on how it's tuned and what comes out of the tailpipe emmission wise. Those come with CARB stickers?

True dual...not illegal. All catback exhaust are legal emmission wise. Decibal wise is a different issue.

Turbo...no way unless it's CARB approved.

Pay the tech off as someone else said... ...those days are gone! Techs if caught, lose their certification permanently and never can get one again. It's not worth it to the tech to lose their career. Inspectors are out there all the time looking for techs who will look the other way for $$. Only way around that is if you know the tech personally, but even then it's his/hers a$$ and career on the line, not yours. Inspector could be the next guy waiting and watching your buddy slip yours through. I know a couple of techs that happened too. Need I say more...they have a different career now.
