Nope, 6MT

EDIT:

Sorry, I meant no MAJOR problems and when there were a few problems, it was fixed and hasn't returned. All cars have some sort of flaws/problems.

You're one of the lucky ones without the rev-up oil thing.
Enjoy and thanks for letting us know 6mt or 5mt. (it wasn't in your sig, that why I asked )

Well, I do check the oil every month now since reading about the oil problem but the dipstick shows "full" or very close to it and it surprisingly clean, even after 4 months and no oil change. I also believe I'm not a minority with a "non-oil-burning" engine. If I am a minority, I think Nissan would have a huge lawsuit on their hands already. Hell, I got my bottom cushion replaced (driver side) because there was a small tear (there is a TSB for this). If they have a TSB for this, they probably will have one for the oil issue if it is more common? Which reminds me, it is a new month now and I need to check the oil soon.

BTW, my sig should have 6MT now

Here's my story if you're planning to buy a G35

Save your money and get a car that's not a POS..

G35 6MT's suck if you get an 05 and up..
so buy used, or don't buy at all. You'll get more enjoyment out of a pinto, because they don't have to go to service as often..
Correction: Your G35 sucks... not mine

My 2006 G35 Coupe 6MT has been trouble free with the exception of some very minor issues which are more like annoyances than problems.

I've beat this car up with more than 70+ drag strip runs and daily spirited driving with NO problems. I've done this for 13 months & 10,000 hard miles; the car has been good to me

Well, from the two links you posted, you aren't putting up much of a backup to the oil consumption problem, unless you are refereing to the Sentras and Altimas. Also, from the link to the G35, it got 4 1/2 stars in every category. Anywho, for the oil burning problems, like most have said there, all cars manufactuer have their problems. I didn't know so many cars have had sludge problems? I don't know but I will most likely buy another Infiniti or maybe another higher end car in the future and I'm sure it will have its fair share of problems too.

i've bought mine used, i have no idea what the previous owner had to go through before. But now in my hands, i get the little typical problems mentioned.

As much as i hate to say it but i don't think the G35 is what we expect from the typical Toyota/Honda japanese car. If i drove the G the way i drove my previous hondas, i think it would die. It just seems fragile to be driven hard.

Mightymouse is right....they suck.

Someone here said that the two links he posted didn't really back up the oil consumption problem...how about these?:

My engine has been replaced multiple times...I am proceeding with the lemon law now.

Nis has been the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with.

It won't surprise me if I end up at my dealership handing out flyers like Mightymouse said. And if they make me keep driving this POS, I might spend the money to get a lemon theme graphics wrap to drive around in. People should know the truth.

Thread from the dead.. So many about Oil consumption.
That sucks man.. I already hate my dealer. I hope my car doesn't have any problems >.<

Haha VQ REVUP Oil Consumption problems GG

Mine hasn't had any problems yet.. But then again I wouldn't know if it would have any oil consumption problems seeing how I gave it the first oil change after 2500 miles.. then another at 5k..
Is there a way to check if your engine has oil consumption problems?

I'm at 6k miles 2007 6mt

I have an 05 6mt coupe, im at 25k miles without any oil problem - or any other problem with the car. My only problem has been the dealer. I was naive and thought that infinity would be better than toyota.
