Dynamated my WHOLE car ***PICS***
Haven't been as active on the forum as I used to be. Currently living on my own forum now lol. Please don't move this thread anywhere, I want it to be in the G section, not picture share or the interior section, this is where I think it belongs. Thank you
Didn't actually use Dynamat since it's so overpriced, got 200 sq ft of FatMat instead. Stripped my car with Igor(X-Vert) and did all the work ourselves. Full trunk, all doors, all pillas, the whole floor, the rear deck, and most of the roof. Also bought some carpeting material in Home Depot for the floor, and stuffed some in the wheel wells (i.e where the jack used to be).
The whole process took like 5 days. Stripping the car is easy and fun. Dynamating the whole car is a pain in the ***, especially picking which holes should be left uncovered. Putting everything back together was a nightmare. Sometimes I would look at some little metal bracket and not know where the HELL it goes lol. It was a good experience and the car sounds great inside... but after all that work, cursing, sweating, headache, and more cursing, I don't think I would do it again lol

wow! Lot's of work!!! Looks good - I bet its dead quiet in there now!
Hoe much does the "Fat Mat" weigh?... and does it have the same sound deadening capacity as dynamat?...

I would be so scared to see my car like that. LOL
If it was me, id do section by section to minimize the losing of parts. Trunk first, Rear quarters next, then floor, then front cabin. There's no way Id strip the car entirely in one shot.... Kudos to you guys...

Good job. Your installation of the FatMat material throughout the car is clean. Not only will it be quiet, it will eliminate a lot of heat soaking into the cockpit of the car.
Now THAT is dedication to a job! At least you had some help.
I did the trunk and under the rear seats in 2 layers with B-Quiet ( 50 pounds) so I'm guessing you must have added at least 100lbs to the car. It helps keep down the road noise and improves acoustics fairly well.
