Can someone tell me what happened to my clear?

When I first bought it everything was fine but as the weeks went on some sort of residue sort of "grew" on it. It wont come off and it looks like it was melted.

Its just the left one. My right clear is perfectly fine.

Soo I called the company and they said they cant replace it because its more in 30 days ( ). So I had an extra set of just plain clears from before and put those on..BUT A NEW PROBLEM THEN FOLLOWS

I changed out my clears and while doing that I attempted to try different bulbs that came with the new ones I bought. That bulb didnt work so I figured the bulb was dead and put the stock one back in. Now it wont light up. All I did was I pulled it out of its socket (the bulb) and put it back in by just poping it into the socket. did i miss anything?

Calvin thinks I might have blew the fuse but the other side works and I would assume they would be on the same ...connection thingy. cant think of the word. Any help would be great. Thanks

Thanks,
-Aamir

Is the stuff on the inside or outside. I think I know exactly what happened.

About a year ago. I went over a hard bump. The side marker popped out by itself. I was driving around with the side marker hanging from the wires. After getting on the highway, I heard this rubbing noise. I stopped and saw my side marker hanging out by the wires with that black stuff on it.

After weeks of trying to figure out what happened, I found that the sidemarker somehow got between the tire and the wheel well when it was hanging by the wire. The rubbing from the tire pretty much melted into the side marker. If you pull out the side marker and put it into the wheel well you'll know what I mean. The black stuff should match up to where the marker would hit the tire.

Quite a mystery that took weeks to figure out.

Did you have somebody drive your car recently. Maybe they noticed that your side marker popped out and just put it back in.

Not sure if this the same case, but it sure looks like it from the pictures.

That actually could be it since this side marker pops out ATLEAST once every other month. there have been plenty of times a friend of mine calls me while Im driving and says that he can see from his car something hanging off the side of my car.

There not ebay I searched on this forum for that website and found a few topics on people saying good things about it so blame them Only reason I got it from them and not some bigger name website from the forums is because its the only black I could find blacked out clears.

Just givin you a hard time, they aren't from ebay, but they are the same generic clear corners that are sold on ebay. Do yourself a favor and get the genuine nissan clear corners and call it a day. They don't even cost that much more than those copies
