I think it should. I think as the years go by and Infiniti improves thier "product", they continue to close in, if not match BMWs quality and performance. The styling of these cars are amazing and continue to catch me eye day by day. Although I personally think the G37 looks a bit feminine, its a beautiful car.

It faces stiff competition...to name a few:
A5/S5 variants.......and the big one (which will probably win it)...BMW M3
If the Honda Accord wins it, I'm driving my car off a cliff.
Lexus IS-F will also be out for 2008.
