Looking to get into a G.....

Traded my 350z in for my Evo. I loved my Z, just wanted a *little* bit more carrying space. Got a good deal on my Evo, threw some mods on it, love the speed, but it rides like a truck and I have the notorious suspension click that nobody seems to have an answer for as far as a fix goes. What better time to try a G out! I'm not scared to drive it in the winter, a set of Blizzacks will take care of that, plus surprisingly, my Miata is a gangster beater with a heater and does real well in the snow!

I just had 2 quick questions. Do all Gs come with HIDs and heated seats standard or is there a certain "package" or trim level you need to have? Second, are there different trim levels like there is on a Z?(Base, Enthusiast, Performance, etc.)

They do have base model G's without leather and heated seats. Depending on the area of the dealership, they may only have a bunch of PREMIUM package G's with leather, heated seats, sunroof, and navi, etc.

Just check out Infiniti.com and build a G to see the trim levels.

Bah, I knew I forgot something, I'm looking at 03-05, they are the ones that fall in my price range . Any "G" specific things to look out for when buying used?

You didn't specify if you are looking to get into a new or used G35. If you are looking at a new G35 that means you are talking about the Sedan. If you are looking at a used G35, I am not sure if you are speaking about the Sedan or the Coupe. In any case, I'll assume you are looking at a new G35.

All 2nd Gen G35s come standard with HIDs and leather interior. Yes, there are different trim levels available on the G35. G35, G35 Journey, G35X, and G35 Sport. Take a look at www.nissannews.com as they have the trim levels broken out quite nicely.

EDIT: disregard my post, I just read yours above.

If youre looking for just performance, then just get a base model. They still have HIDs.

If you wanna have all the luxurys then get the Premium with or without Navi.

G specifics?...not sure

I have an EVO and a "old" G35 Sedan. It's a good combo..although sometimes b/c I am young I wish I would have had a coupe. But its cool to have 2 fast (well relatively fast for the G) sedans in the stable.

Yeah I thought I wanted an Evo, but it's showing it's true DSM colors and given me nothing but headache lol. Just like my Plymouth Laser Turbo. If I want my speed fix, I'll just hop in my 300zx or on my GSXR

03 coupes were the only year that had cloth seats on the base model it still had HID headlights...

Get an 04+

Whatever you get, get an 04+ -- many small issues were worked out with the 04's.
