Bought 03 G35 Coupe - things I should know?

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a month on this forum, until couple hours earlier that I finally jumped the gun on a great deal. $17100 for 03 G35 Coupe at 28215 miles. I just wanted to ask you experienced owners out there what steps I should take to make 100% sure that the vehicle I'm receiving is in the condition the seller specified.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260189195368

Here's what I think I should do:
- vehicle VIN check (reason I didnt check before auction ended was b/c when I was at last step to pay, it tells me the vehicle scored 91-95, so even though I dont have the full report I know it has no major flaws.)
- when my shipper picks up the car, I'll have him drop it off for full inspection in a authorized Infiniti dealership. They will help me check for major mechanical errors, odometer roll back, rust, fire/flood/hail damage, etc etc.
Do you guys have any idea how much it would cost? ~$300?
- have shipper match VIN of the car

Can you guys think of anything else? Thanks for constructive inputs.

UPDATE - SELLER REPLIED!!

"Think about this. Our G35 has all original body panels and a confirmed report that the Carfax glitch is an error. We bought the car from Manheim Auto Auction on a green light (certified, no frame damage). The car has no paint work aside from the front bumper cover for stone chips. You live far away, so I can understand the carfax scaring you. Perhaps a phone call or email would have been more appropriate than jumping to snap (wrong) conclusions based upon an erroneous Carfax. Have you seen the car? NO Have you had the car inspected? NO. Have you made a good faith effort to handle the transaction in a responsible manner? NO. I'll tell you what. Let's have your choice of Dealer or body shop within 10 miles of 19380 zip code check the car. If they confirm what I'm saying, you buy the car and rescind your false negative feedback. If they confirm your statements, then I'll remove my feedback left for you and yours for me remains. Sounds like a fair and equitable solution. Aside from the fact that you hadn't even arranged financing when you won our auction. That is against eBay's policies, just so you know. We're honest people and are not trying to pull one over on anyone. The bid was below wholesale for the car. Nobody was trying to pressure you to place a bid on a car you don't want. You should do your due diligence before you bid, and in htis case you would have learned that Carfax made an error. And you want to report ME to eBay? Right!"

How do I go about checking if carfax made an errornous report? what is the likelihood of that?

Are you saying that you'd rather give a stealership the benefit of the doubt rather than trust Carfax? You're crazy man, forget about this one, it's not worth it.

deffinetly not.. just saying that they gurantee it.. i know itsbull/// i owned and work at different Big dealers.. just crazy they would even ADVERTISE it as never wrecked... either way fyi when the title is listed as "clear" means previous, salvage, accident of reconstruct title which was fixed up and now clear... when the title says CLEAn mean clean as in never damaged, crashed etc.

alright thank you very much ncognittog I checked up on AutoCheck (which sucks btw, why does ebay suck so much?) and it says accident. It didn't mention structural damage but my guess is that it just sucks. I'll look around a bit more and hopefully actually find one that's worth it. Thanks guys

I agree, obviously don't buy it.

But I'd be curious to hear how the seller explains the discrepancy.

The price sounded way too low. The damage would explain why. I'd never buy a car that was wrecked. Maybe minor cosmetic dents and or scratches. Anytime the frame is involved, it never drives right after that.
