had my tranny replaced at about 35k for bad synchros.. grinded into 5th ONLY driving UNDER 50 mph..

I wanna know how many people that replaced their trannys drive it hard, meaning chirping through gears and all that.

i drive differently all the time.. some days hard and others i just cruise... I usually have lesss problems when driving the G hard..

Frind just had his replaced on his 05 coupe with 31k.


Did warrnty cover the replacement for you guys ?

05 6MT with about 27K miles. I drive it hard all the time, but do not abuse it. No issues so far.

I'd like to see a poll that include the years as well, maybe that could narrow it down further. Problem is that the data is useless if not everyone votes. Everyone needs to be included.

No, but I think its time. I love the G ride to death, but I think they should've hit the engineering board a little longer before they released the car.

Between oil consumption and transmissions going bad I think I got the lemon of the bunch. I havent brung my car to the shop just yet, but when I do I'm hitting them hard. My car consumes oil like a bitch and my tranny makes all types of noise when my clutch is released. Sounds like marbles in my transmission.
I dont have the oil issues.. not that ive noticed yet but i have heard that same sound coming from under the car when the clutch is out. It really sounds nasty when you kinda get on the gas in a higher gear than you should be in like if your rolling up to a fresh greenlight in 3rd.

That stuffs really starting to worry me.
