actually the base Altima is 2.5... but yes the 3.5 is the same as ours... the Maxima shares the same engine too...

Considering alot of ppl rebadge their Gs to a nissan badge I dont see why it would. Only an idiot would buy an infiniti and think they aren't getting a nissan. Fact is most ppl buy their car for the car not just the brand on it. For example, I like my car to run and not feel like it came from the 99 cents store therefore I don't buy kia

The only people who have said that to me are: A.) People who hate on me or B.) Don't make as much money as I do and would like to own my car. When they make a comment similar to "nissan in a tuxedo" in order to make themselves feel better about their self image. I ignore these people because if I then talk about the car they own then I'm labeled as "cocky" or "stuck up". I own a G35 coupe and a G35 sedan and I'm only 26 years old so I get these comments every once in awhile from HATERS!!!

Kinda hard to argue it when alot of people rebadge their G's and put Nissan on it. I guess I'm a sucker though shelled out the extra money for the QX. But it does look slightly better and everything is standard. But don't mind it being called a Nissan

My first car car was a 88' Maxima still one of my fav cars. One day I'll get that car again.

You have a QX? I have one, they are amazing. I love the feel of the power when you get on it. It's like nothing else I have driven (SUV that is, and at that size). The QX is one of my favorite cars but The G beats it.

Yeah I use to have a 99 Tahoe. Driven a 02 and 06 Tahoe. Driven an Expedition. By far its my fav SUV. Doesn't feel heavy, and for being so big is quick (well in SUV terms). Plus I hate the chrome on the bumper of the Armada and the dumb 4 X 4 decal it has.

I think some people assume that the G is a duded-up Maxima, like the Acura TL which uses the Accord platform. We know this is not the case because the G shares more with the Z than the Maxima or Altima. I don't know all the technical details, but I have driven an '07 Nissan Maxima and there is nothing in that car that reminds me of my G35. The Maxima feels like a pretty good car that is dragging me down the road with its front-wheel drive. I'm clueless as to why anyone would rebadge an Infinity to a Nissan, but I'm an old fart who doesn't keep up with what the young people think is cool and hip. But in my small city, I've seen a few debadged Gs but never one with Nissan logos on it.
