I haven't had the pleasure of doing something stupid yet in the 8 days I've had my G. Will come back to this in about 2 weeks...I will probably have something by then! LMAO!
I have done MANY stupid things in my Eclipse in the 8 years of ownership. That car went thru my "turning 21" and everything. Good little car, took TOO many lickins and kept on tickin! I don't EVER want my G to experience what i put my E thru!!!! GOD I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!

On a random *** idea to visit friends in ohio over the weekend im in NJ. me and a friend left for ohio already having enough points on my lisence i made a promise to keep the cruise control on at 65 the whole way. after 4 hours for prefect driving a boosted mustang rolls up wanting to go. he didnt leave me for atleast 10 minutes so being dumb i finally gave in and guned it. at about 140ish we call it quits. my radar begins goin off i slam my brakes. jesus brembos stop. hit about 100 and boom pass a cop. i pull over b4 he even turns his lights on. needless to say he got me doin 105 in a 65 . needless to say i felt stupid as hell cause i was doin perfect and didnt see 1 cop till that jerk mustang, i bet it was a set up he did pass the cop b4 me . around 250 bucks and few points later. surcharges crazy insurance. i still wont let get of my G the price u pay for retardation

I know right!!! I'm still like WTF. He's extremely lucky they actually replaced his tranny. They could have found any excuse and used the negligence as an excuse to not do anything about it

As for me, the dumbest thing I've done was posted here

basically ..vdc keeps ur car under control most of the time..

when u turn off vdc ur rpm will redline and switch on its own rather than switched around 4k rpm ( depending on situation)

keep vdc on unless u need the extra power to ur wheels..

its k newbies are welcome in forums.. that what theyre for

This was in a c230 coup. my mother wanted me to take a spray bottle full of what looked like water into her work. tossed it in the passenger foot well and drove over too her. grabbed it out and found it was empty. when i looked in the foot well the carpet was slowly turning white. The lid had come off and the water turned out to be bleach. She bought me new floor mats but the under carpet is still blond.

advice of the day: always ask whats in it.

this is kind of embarrassing..... but I bought bunch of car washing stuff and washed my car for like 2 hours.... and came back home and FORGOT to get the stuff from the trunk.... and later that day I was driving around w/ my friends and I took a sharp turn without me knowing all the cleaning stuff in my trunk.... ....

as a result...

my trunk carpet was soaked with cleaning fluid..... I had to wash it for like 5 hours to get the stuff off.................

Well I'd say today was the first day I've done something "really" stupid. Driving to work, came into the industrial area where there are loads and huge trucks, anyway, I over took a small pickup just before joining an intersection (had to go a bit fast to overtake). Came into the intersection very fast, saw 2 huge trucks in front of me....Hesitated a bit trying to decide whether to overtake or undertake (still going fast) when all of a sudden one of the trucks changed lanes which left me no where to go, so had to slam down on the breaks....car screeched like a little piggy thank god it stopped like a meter from the truck. Shat my pants a bit and swore like a *****.....moral of the story GET BREMBO's!!! Or stop driving like you're a jet fighter!!!

Ok, I have now had my car a total of 3 weeks tomorrow - told you I'd be back...So far...would be not paying $8 to park my car myself @ work. We have a valet parking garage. Apparently they took the ramps too fast and I have road rash on the underside of my bumper and the rubber is ate up. I would imagine with all the Porshe's (my boss is one of them) and stuff they drive they wouldn't hurt mine........STOOOOOPID!!! I will be paying to park myself from now on!
