Dynolicious turns iPhone into cheap performance meter
does anyone know the drivetrain loss ratio % on an 04 coupe AT?
I need this for the dynolicious app. I'm not sure what to put.

I entered the weight of the car at 3450lbs and put 0% for drivetrain loss to get the wheel hp. I did about 3 runs on a flat freeway onramp (the one with meter) with no traffic in front of me. I let off at 60mph on the freeway.
Now somebody please tell me this app is not accurate because the results are pretty depressing. So my coupe makes 200hp? WTF~

Alright, I just updated the vehicle weight info so now the data makes more sense. Here is what I estimated since the kitchen weight broke after I drove on it.
Base 2003 G35 Coupe 6MT: 3450lbs
Driver w/ clothing: 165lbs
Junks in the backseat: 10lbs
Half Tank of Gas, 10 gallons: 60lbs
Misc. Fluids (windshield wiper fluid?): 20lbs
Junks in the trunk: 35lbs
19" Wheels: 20lbs (over stockers)
Total: 3760lbs
Dynolicious max power out of 3 runs: 205hp @ wheel (using 3450lbs as weight) Which means if actual weight is 3760lbs then the power reading should be 223hp @ wheel..........
That means my Motordye spacer, Z-Tube and Borla exhaust net me about 5hp?

I got 235 stock on a real dyno. Havn't gotten to try this out yet, still have it on my phone just don't go the highway much. I may try tonight, we'll see.
Since you've actually done a few runs. To do WHP do you have to do a full 1/4 run? or is there a way to just do HP?

You don't have to do 1/4 mile run, just 0-60 should be sufficient. Though I think the hp level would register lower in a 0-60 run since the frictional loss at low gears are worse than higher gears. (that's why most dyno the car in 3rd+ gears) I havn't done a 1/4 mile yet nor do I think I will.... can't see myself going over 85mph unless I am on my way to Vegas.
Here is a video you guys might want to check out. They test the iphone vs. g-tech vs. actual track time. It was off by almost nothing. Here is the link

Gonna go look into the itouch I guess.
Well I just did run one with Dyolicious tonight. Also first run 1/4 mile wise every in my life. So there was a good deal of wheel spin
oppsie. Also, I got to another light before I could finish so I had to stop starting at about 85 MPH
Anyway, now for the results.
0-60 8.48
60' 2.64
1/8 10.53 @ 76.0
1/4 16.43 @ 82.6
Max Accel G's 1.88
WHP 151 (actual from a dyno before exhaust was 235)
So with having to stop the run before it was really over and having a good amount of wheel spin I didn't think it was too bad.
