I'm surprised that they have not already came out with one yet...

Probably be while till we actually see one. I wonder if it will favor performance (being an Infiniti) or economy. Like the difference between an Accord hybrid and Civic hybrid. My guess is performance.

Prob not that long....who knows...the Altima is having pretty good success and it would just be another way for them to sell more cars. $$$ drives decisions

I wonder if they actually made a G hybrid if it would use a CVT?

Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV)

The Nissan original HEV delivers two breakthrough technologies – a high-performance rear-wheel drive hybrid system and parallel-powertrain hybrid system. The hybrid employs Nissan’s own originally developed hybrid technology and its first rear-wheel drive hybrid powertrain.
Interesting...

Indeed, can't wait to see if it trully is high performance. So far most hybrids are slow and the one's that aren't don't really save much gas. I'm surpised Nissan has taken so long to release their own hybrid. The one on the Altima is under liscence from Toyota.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a hybrid even before this predicted time frame. The Infiniti line of cars are pretty thirsty with all cars using premium. MPGs are being considered heavily by most manufacturers today.

It'll be much longer time until we can switch to all electric. There's too many obstacles like where to charge and price. Besides I think I might miss the engine note, although that electric Tesla roadster is quite hot. Hybrid is definitely a temp solution that can be had sooner. I think Hydrogen is the future..
