Seems like I'm leaning towards the coupe. You can get a nice 06-07 for less than $20k with our current economy. The 07+ sedans are going for around the same price.

I have a few more months until I actually purchase either car. I think i might go with a 06-07' low mileage g35 coupe with the extended warranty till 100k just because of the oil consumption issue. Still not 100% sure, heh.

Considered this but I would have to wait another year because it is currently out of my budget.

Good suggestion though. Never knew this would be such a tough decision, heh.

Thanks, keep the suggestions coming.

Coupe is a headturner but the sedan is more practical and all your pros mentioned outweight the pros on the coupe IMO. So in that case I say go for a G37S coupe.

Just wanted to bump this up to see if anyone else has experienced a similar situation.

I'm still not 100% sure which to go for and I'll be buying a new car this summer.

Any input or feedback will be appreciated.

Thanks

Get the sedan.. coupe is getting outdated. Everyone has one.. I took in my coupe for warranty work and got an 07.. I'd trade my coupe for an HR sedan in a heart beat..

Keep the words factory, and warranty in mind.. Thats another pro.

I was in the same boat as you a couple months ago. I was looking at a few 07 coupes but I decided to go with the 07 sedan. Overall, I'm happy with my decision but rarely when I see some nice coupes do I think to myself if I made the wrong choice. At the same time I can't imagine only having 2 doors with all the people I have to haul around. Either way, they are both amazing cars so you won't go wrong!

edit: I voted for the sedan

Hey Adam,

Glad you asked for opinions, but you didn't say what your new G will be used for mainly. Just DD and no regular tracking? A few mods here and there for looks? How long will you keep this G before someday getting that M3?

I have a dedicated track car, so that solves my problem Bought the newer sedan (Sport was a MUST option, nothing less, bec of the LSD), just slightly lowered/stiffened it and will add few intake, exh mods later. Still my DD, though, but will occasionally track it of course. And, hey, that back seat is decent compared to the coupe (you did mention having a girlfriend). But if you're going to track any G regularly, I would still go with the coupe w/ mods, from the looks point of view.

Good luck to ya.

of course sedan

sedan is superior in ever way to me

more doors, better looking, better engine, 5x better interior, and just a more mature car.

Sedan alllllll the way.

Looks awesome, amazing interior, doesnlt need much work to really turn heads and it's faster. HR engine was an instant classic.

AZOMAXED, don't you want to drive the STI non stop even when your driving the G? A Modded STI makes the G family look silly. Then again it's interior.....

Yup, when I feel like driving hard - on/off ramps, winding roads, race tracks - nothing like the rawness of STi power, handling! But it's different for a DD. A slightly stiffened up G35, with one of the best interiors out there (great seats!), beats it hands down
