There is a beam behind the cover, but it's much higher, where the main part of the bumper is. There is nothing behind that dent. Just pop it out.

 

sigh i can pick up a front oem bumper at the dealership for $450..hes ripping u off

 

I see, would you be willing to remove the bumper and do this?

 

Remove the bottom shield off to get access behind the bumper. Use a hair drier to heat the bumper cover and pop it out. You can get a OEM front lip, already painted that will cover that entire area and you will be good to go. I scraped the right front of my bumper at the bank drive-thru and got the front lip which covers it up. Much cheaper than replacing the entire bumper cover and getting it painted, plus it looks great.

 

^ ditto that and theres def no metal behind that part of the bumper i happened to be under there 2day( not under your car particularly but 8-) ) heat gun def works do it all the time jus get it hot, jus not hot enough to melt the paint lol o and dont try 2 push it wit ur hand lol use a rag or sumthing so you dont get cooked along with it

 

whats all the fuss about? Just Buff it out! a little mothers should do the job!
