Question Changing Head Unit and steering wheel controls

I Have a 04 g35 coupe and my head unit is acting weird, all of the sounds goes to the passenger side and the sounds that comes out of it is dull. My question is, does anyone had their head unit changed? and if you did can you still use the controls on the steering wheel?

Depending of which brand and model head unit, you can retain the wheel controls.

I changed mine to an alpine double din. They then installed a PAC module to keep wheel controls. Works awesome

Yes, I changed my head unit a few months ago. PAC makes steering wheel interfaces that work with our cars. They're not as good as the originals, because there is a little bit of lag before they recognize the button presses, but overall, it works fine.

lag is the delay from when you push the button until something happens.

You just have to hold the button on the wheel for a sec to change vol or things like that. Its not as fast as stock. No its not nav but the option is there the alpine blackbird i think
