i own a 06 g35 coupe and its a automatic, while driving today i was using the manual mode and while driving at 40mph when i shifted to the manual mode, I accidently shift it in reverse its only been done once ever...im really worry about my car right now. Have anyone ever came across this issue? should i be concern about my transmission as much as i should be right now? thanks in advance.

Um you shouldnt have been able to shift it into reverse without pressing down the button haha. And my friend did that in his Maxima, and it still runs absolutely fine now, a year later. I wouldn't worry baout it.

You should be fine, just don't make a habit out of it.

how could you possibly shift into Rev by mistake?... I've shifted up to neutral before thinking I was in Manual mode up shifting (but it was in full auto)... but I cant fathom how it could go into reverse. I'm pretty sure you have to press the button to get it from drive to reverse... don’t press the button when shifting through gears.

x2 that's what I thought. You def have nothing to worry about if you did this. If you had put it in reverse, the whole car would have stalled and you would have had to restart it while moving.
