G35 Car Won't Start - Tried JUMPING !!HELP!!
If the terminals and cable connectors have been cleaned and no one can detect a drain, it may be a battery problem, regardless how old the battery may be. I had a first hand experience with a battery that had an internal short and was draining itself. Replace the battery. Take the old battery to the store where you purchased it. They will normally give you another if you tell them it will not hold the charge if it is under warranty, or may prorate it and will cost you a couple of bucks.
this literally just happened to me!!
Okay fellas I am new here and have been told to post my question on this wonderful forum.
I own a 2004 G35, and it hasn't been started for a week. I have noticed that when you try to unlock the doors with the keypad, it does not respond, knowing my battery is dead.
We tried to jump start it with jumper cables and that did not work, although after trying that many times I did find that now I can unlock my car doors with the keypad.
The very next day we tried to jump it again with a battery jumper cables, as soon as we clamped the things down on the batter, my car alarm went off, and it continued to sound as long as the clamps were on, the only time it went away was trying to start the car, however that never worked.
I then reliezed I haven't change my oil in the summer and I am located in Boston (the northeast) and it has been really cold the past week. I relezed I was using the thin oil, 15 or 5w one of them but was 100% it was the thinner version because it was temporarily for the summer.
- Would the thin oil be the problem of not starting because it's too cold?
- What could the problem be?
Thanks in advance, I really appreciate the help a bunch.

This is literally happening to my G35 as I type this message. Came out of work and car is completely dead. No power at all, just the little key light thing flashes.
What have you found that was the root of the problem. Please and thank you

Santos I'm going to politely suggest you read through this whole thread. There are multiple possible issues and their solutions discussed in it and that's in only 31 posts. As a new member please read the forum rules before you start posting. One of them states you are responsible for doing some leg work and search the forum (Google might be an even better idea) before you post anything. We're 16 years old and the forum is cluttered enough with some of the most commonly asked questions repeated on a daily basis by new members who don't follow the rules. Everyone needs to step up and quit adding to the mess.
We don't mind helping new members and old timers alike, but we won't spoon feed folks help unless they have shown a desire to put in some work as well. If you have any other questions about the forum feel free to shoot me a PM.

No Crank No start Failed Jumpstart help !
i have an 07 infiniti g35 coupe with an AT, my problem starts when i cleared the 02 sensor codes, because right then n there i tried to start my car and it didnt start, even tho it was starting just before i cleared the codes kinda fine, there was a little pause before the engine started but regardless it still started, im pretty sure clearing 2 codes wouldnt cause my car to just stop working, i dont know if its the alternator or starter, ignition switch, or starter relay, ive tested all the fuses their good, i know the battery is good because its only been in the car for 3 weeks sat for 2 while i was away for college, the battery is reading 12.4 on the meter, ik my alternator is a little bad because its reading the same voltage as my battery and i know normal running alts are around 13-15Vs, so i tried to jumpstart the car and nothing happened, no crank no start nothing, only thing thats working are the lights, radio, heated seats, wipers, basically everything electrical, the car just wont crank, i get a single click and thats its so im thinking its my starter, starter relay, or ign switch im just not sure any help? also wanted to make sure my engine wasnt messed up for some reason so i turned the crank clockwise it moved fine, i currently have the alternator out of the car i was reading more bout the situation so i havnt yet to do anything
Remove and bench test the starter, if it works then LOAD BANK TEST the battery. You cannot test a battery simply by measuring the voltage with a DMM.
If you're getting a click that means the electrical circuit to close the start relay is functioning, it's either insufficient AMPERAGE of the battery or the starter is failed (sometimes it's a bad battery cable to the starter but uncommon).
Just because the battery is brand new off the shelf doesn't mean it's good so never assume the battery isn't the issue, however if you're unable to jump start it's likely the starter itself.
Or the engine spun a bearing and is seized
