Disconnecting battery

When changing or disconnecting the battery, do I have to reset the window motor so when i open and close the door it moves the inch like its supposed to?

I ask this because I left my lights on by accident and I disconnected the battery to charge it and once i reconnected the battery, the window doesnt move up or down automatically when opening the door. I cant tell if its because of the battery, or if its just frozen (it just reached -25 degrees Celsius).

Thanks.

Northern Alberta, Canada. And it gets alot colder than -25 degrees Celsius. Its actually not too too bad right now. However, it doesn't help when my window doesnt go up all the way when i close the door.

So thats like -13 degrees Fahrenheit. Gets about that around here and nothing likes to work that is mechanical. Does your window go up or down with the window switch?

You are very very lucky lol.

In the next coming weeks and months, there will be times that the temperature drops down to -40 to -45 with windchill. Here, there is no such thing as a "snow day" like some places have in the states. There is always work and school.

So temperatures moved up quite a bit today and i was able to thaw off my car in a heated garage and now the window works like a charm. I guess it was just frozen.
