So the ECU check engine light doesn't come on, you disconnect it to reset it.. never heard of that.. but some people say 5 mins, some say 15, and others say at least 10 hours... Whats the right answer?? I would assume 5 once its off it should reset?

You don't have to reset the ECU.

If you have to, do it for 10 hours when you get home, go to bed then when you're ready to leave connect it and go to work/school.

Over time your ECU learns the way you drive so it makes adjustments... If you drive your car hard your ECU will adjust itself for performance just a little.. If you baby it then your ECU will learn that driving pattern and make adjustsments for gas mileage..

Your reset it so the car goes back to factory settings.. Some people say they feel performance gains...

Sounds a little far fetched but I guess its true.

LMFAO!

There was a couple funny posts in that one too..

Someone asks "whats the gains of doing this?"

Then someone replies "500hp right of the bat"
