Help me decide on new car
Its between a 2005-2007 g35 coupe 6mt
2006 325i manual
2007 328i or 330i manual
or 2002 m3 with smg or manual
All cars have low miles(under 25k miles)
I like the g35 but have heard negative stuff about transmissions
The m3 would be sweet but im assuming its out of warranty which is a concern
and a 328i or 330i is nice and built well but isnt as fast as the others.
Right now I am just confused on which to get and need non bias advice.
Thanks
Jake

is your sedan auto or 6mt? Our automatic tranny's are one of the best out there. I've got 62k miles on my 05 and i've driven it like i stole it since the day i took it off the lot brand new, never had one problem with the drivetrain.

I dont want to sound bias, but i like the 2007 G coupe better than all of those. they are all great cars, but the G would be cheaper to fix if anything went wrong, and i think that the G looks the most unique out of them. But in second id say the m3.

07 g35 coupe 6mt (as new as possible)
02 m3 with 6mt.
Stay away from the SMG out of warranty!!!!!

The M3 is the best driving car, but the 07 G is also very nice. It'd be between those two for me. I'd probably pick the G because it's a lot more reliable and newer. You'll get many more years of reliable service from the 07 G.
I looked both up on Consumer Reports' reliability chart and the 07 G has body hardware and audio system as below average with almost everything else being better or much better than average. Both transmission and engine get their highest possible reliability rating.
The 02 3-series (CR has no M3-specific reports) has below average engine cooling, electrical, climate system, body hardware, and power equipment. Transmission looks good, but minor engine only gets an average rating.
Taking into account their ages, I think you'll have a lot more problems with the M3. Considering how far the 07 G has come from its 03 descendant I think you'll be really happy with it. IMO, it has a nicer interior than the 02 M3, which I am not a fan of.

Well asking on a G35 for non-biased advice is an oxymoron.
I am not a BMW fan at all and wouldn't drive one if you gave it to me....but i guess I'm biased
