Manual shifter buzzes and rattles at higher Rpms?

It's a 05 sport coupe manual. At higher rpms it buzzes. If I hold my hand firm on it I can prevent the buzz. Anybody have this problem or solution

Stock **** or aftermarket? If stock, has it ever been removed?

Take the shift **** off and you will see a little metal ring on the shifter. I have no idea what it is, but thought it'd be a good idea to keep it there, so I just took the ring off and tightly wrapped the shifter (everywhere it'll make contact with the ring) with enough electric tape so it'll be a snug fit when you put the ring back on. Put the ring on and tightly wrap it with a little more electric tape so it doesn't move around at all. Put your shift **** back on and see if it still makes a buzzing sound. If the sound is only dampened, do this over again.

damn mine doesnt buzz but you can definitely feel it rattle, my clutch is worse, when depressing it with medium or high revs, you feel a lot of vibration
