Help on a G, need some input

Hey guys I found a grey 03 or 04 G35 coupe 6MT. It is fully loaded with every option that was available like the navi, bose, sunroof, aero package etc. The car has 75K. I'm not sure if its the 03 or 04 because it doesn't say in the listing but I know it's one or the other cause it has gold brembos. The car is all stock and the interior and exterior appear in great condition. Anyway I can get the car for about 11k. Is this a good price? Is the mileage too high or is that about right? I plan to mod it a little bit but just your basic bolt ons so would it be okay to do around this mileage or is it risky? Okay now I know when I ask this question I'm going to get hammered but I've looked all over and I've used the search function and I still can't find the answer. Are these VQ35's known to be able to go up to high mileage and are they very dependable engines? Are they prone to many problems in the future or is it a car that I know can at least last me another 4 to 5 years if not longer. Thanks and any input would be appreciated

It sounds like a pretty good price to me.. my G has 100k and still runs like new.. the VQs are engines that proved themselves in the past for reliability and durability.. I was a lil worried before buying my G but after I did I think i was the happiest man in the world.. as long as u take care of it there will be no problems!

Sounds good, anyone out there with any problems with theirs? From what I've found, they're bulletproof

Early model G35 do have their flaws, that's why there are newer model with updates and reconfigurations. I've owned two so far and love both of them. Just make sure the previous owner did not abuse the car, you can check by bringing the car into your local Infiniti Dealership to have them check the car out.

Thanks I'll take your advice. When you say flaws in the earlier modeals, what do you mean by that exactly? Yeah the car looks great and it's the best price I've found on a G so far and I'm in the market for one right now. Don't think I can keep my mind off the car until I get one. =D

well iv had 2 G's now both 03 coupes and the first one had very high miles around i think 160,xxx and i only had it for about 6 months and the engine blewout, the cd changer messed up like 3 times, and had to get a new Transmission. but my current G i have had for 2 years almost i got it with 74,xxx miles and have had no problems at all. its smoothe as heel drives great i couldnt be happier. so what im trying to say is over time your going to have problems but so will any other car. get the G and you should be very happy with it.

As far as the VQ engine in general it is extremely solid and well built. I have an FX35 and a G35 so far no major problems, love both of them. As far as basic bolt-on's you shouldn't have anything to worry about with the higher milage.. As far as the price- it sounds fair but i agree with INSYDIUSG, have the car checked out.

Ha sounds like a plan, these ^^^^^^ give me more motivation to get one lol. Deff going to try and get it, my Mazdaspeed Turbo is supposed to sell by the end of this week and then I'm going to hop on the G35. I would have to agree that there pretty solid just when they get in the high mileage is when some problems may arise, but thats typical of any car with high mileage
