and my thread got 1 view, which was probably me.. so im asking if you have your car aligned on worn tires, and then mount new tires.. will the new tires cause need of a realignment???

They shouldn't do. The angles of the wheels stay the same no matter the size of the tyre.

New wheels won't require an alignment, but if you're getting new tires, wait until they're on to get the alignment. There might be some value in having the new tires during the alignment, no matter how small, but there's zero value in having the old tires on at that time. It's theoretically possible that uneven wear on the old tires might throw off the alignment.

yea, i didnt have money for everything last year, so i had it aligned before i bought new tires... the old tires were bad on the sides they were worn, no tread (when it was aligned).
im trying to point my money in the right direction, so i guess taking it to the alignment shop and having them check that and for any other possible obvious cause would be better to have the wheel balance checked.

It shouldn't really matter. The alignment crud attaches to the rim. The rim is what they align, not the tyres, if you know what I mean.

i know, but i was thinking maybe wear only on one side like / could maybe slightly change the wheel stance with an even tire.

Like I said, it's theoretically possible, but unlikely. Get the new tires and have the place where you got the alignment check it again. Most places will check the alignment for free. If it doesn't need it, you drive away. If it does, you either drive away or pay to have it re-aligned. But unless you've hit some large hole or bump since the alignment, you probably won't need one.
