I used them on my G35 coupe and now I hav ethem on my G37- no issues at all.

I imagine that if you over oil them after you clean them you might potentially create a problem.

The O2 sensors are at the exhaust manifold and catalytic converter – filter oil is not going to end up at either of those locations… I think you are referring to MAF (mass air flow) sensor, which is just after the filter… if oiled properly it wont be a problem. Even if oil residue ends up on the MAF sensor, it can be cleaned.

K&N Intake Filters.

I've been using K&N filter on all my rides for the past 20 years and have never had any issues. I always clean mine every 2 oil changes which is 6K miles. If you'll follow the instructions on the kit making sure the filter is dry when you reinstall it you should be very satisfied with K&N....

I've also had K&N's for years and never had probs. I won't use them on my G, but I've had one in my Explorer for over 30k miles and it still doesn't need cleaning.

I have heard that Ford wasnt honoring warranty on their turbo trucks if they found out a K&N was used.

apparently they pass so much dirt that the inside of the intercooler pipes were sand blasted to a chrome finish which ate up the turbos...

Same as everyone else has said, been using K&N for years with zero problems. However, I heard recently that they are offering a new "dry" filter. And that its supposed to flow better than the oiled ones. Anyone hear about these?

meh, Ive had mine in for a about 20K and have no problems. Out of the box they are fine, but when it comes time to cleaning and re-oiling is when people tend to use too much oil or not allow proper drying time. That can result in oil slinging onto the MAF screen.

I've run em for years with no probs.

In fact, the G35 is the first car i've owned where i haven't installed a K&N. No clue why not yet

I like them because you almost never have to change/clean them. Makes life a bit easier for my cars that I don't put alot of miles on.

I drive a ton in my G so I want the superior protection of a paper filter. I also enjoy maintaining my G so it's fun to install a nice clean paper filter.
