Auto Zone oil change special

Don't know if it's a repost, but Auto Zone has 5 quarts of Mobil 1 and a Mobil 1 filter for $29.99 through 07/01/09.

http://www.autozone.com/autozone/ino...sp?intcmp=sz_2

Look at bottom of page.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't let a mechanic at Auto Zone or any of those types of places work on my car.

This is a do it yourself oil special....Autozone is not doing any oil change. Thanks for the heads up, I'm definitely gonna jump on this offer.

Not bad. Last time I checked (about a week ago) Walmart had Mobil 1 for $22 5-qt jug. Thats good if you prefer to use an OEM filter.

Walmart FTW!! I buy Castrol Syntec there, $24 for 5 qts. Same jug is $35 at Auto Zone.

^This looks like a really good deal on Mobil One plus you can use the coupon!!

Too late

I just changed my oil and put Amsoil in my car, plus I've got another 7 quarts sitting in my garage (local store had a special on a case). If they'd have come up with this a month ago ...

What i never understood is if Amsoil is as good as many people say it is...how come no chain stores carry it???

I've never seen it on the shelf anywhere for sale. You'd think with as popular as it is (at least online) if one store were to carry it everyone would be flocking there to buy their oil.

I saw it at 3 local stores around here. A NAPA (where I bought it), an Autozone, and a local Michigan chain called Thirlby's. I didn't check the local Advanced, but they might have it too.

I know NAPA had it cuz that's where I bought it, and I know Thirlby's had it because their prices are too high. I could be wrong on the 'Zone. Parts stores all look the same after a while.
