I take TR's prices and ask my local Discount Tire to match. They don't but usually take off 10-15% their price. I prefer the local Discount tire because I can go to any of them for warranty work.

But I do have a local hookup for M&B so I wouldn't really hesitate to go to TR if their prices are good.

Warranty work from TR is sort of a hassle though

I know where they are, I was comparing their USD prices to other online sites. Their prices are extremely high and they'll ship to the US, so the comparison is valid no matter what country they're in. It's not like you can't buy tires south of the border and have them shipped to Canada, and it doesn't cost $400 extra dollars to do it.

LOL, durrr. The only problem with your logic is that everyone knows that your dollar is worth more and the US pricing is lower to begin with. Who in their right mind would order from Canada to the USA??

Obviously nobody in the US would order from them, but why would anyone in Canada order from them? If their site had only listed CAD prices, or if there was some prohibition against trans-border tire sales, I wouldn't have used them as an example. Who in their right mind would pay a $400 premium on a set of Yokohama W4S's?

Dunno. There has got to be some reason they are listed as the largest Canadian online tire/wheel retailer.
Maybe when you factor in the dollar exchange, the shipping, the duties, the brokerage fees and the wait time.
Maybe that is enough to sway them.
Or maybe Canadians just like to buy local and suppost their own economy.

And speaking of right mind....Who in the hell would spend $285 each for 18x8 Enkei RPF1 wheels at TireRack, when 1010tires is selling them for $245?

Good point, these are certain to add to the cost, and the hassle may not be worth it.

Everyone knows wheels are a completely different subject. They're not even related to tires!

This place ripped me off...kept giving me the run around about my tires and finally i had to have paypal involved to get my money back...so be careful

This place that I know of per tire is a bit more but includes installation and balancing, like for my parents SUV Tire Rack had it for 99 but this local place had it for 125. With tire rack It would be cheaper to receive it. But with installation its more.

So I am lucky I got a place like this, Tire Kingdom wanted 169 per tire then an installation fee.
