ever since i missed 3rd gear one day (i was driving mad) it will stall out if im cruising in 6th and throw it in nuetral w/o touching the breaks or holding the clutch in, if i do hold the clutch in and/or break while going from 6th to nuet. it's fine; otherwise, the needle drops to zero with no hesitation. Im thinking it's gotta be something electrical, fried a chip or something. haha, it scared the crap out of my gf when it happened to her right before an off ramp, yea we coulda died but oh well, she cant drive anyway so thats the risk i take.

 

What years your car? IF you have warranty take it to the dealer and don't tell them you missed third lol
