+1 exactly except i wanted and '06 so no brembos. salesman at infiniti hits me with "less then 9% of coupes came in MT with NAV. good luck finding one.."
A$$. I got patience pal. took over a year. just as you said.. totally worth it. every time I get in my G I smile. yup.

5AT here, bot not by choice. AWD only comes 5AT.

I'd prefer manual though. My weekend toy is a 5-spd, and i love banging gears. I don't mind it in traffic as i used to commute every day 1 hour in traffic with a manual....but i'm not gonna lie, i do appreciate the auto now when it's cold and i'm drinking my coffee in traffic

Where do these percentages come from??

All over the site i've seen numbers like only 6% were 6MT's or something like that....yet everytime I make a post asking if production numbers exist for G35's, i get responses that none exist.

I'm just curious to see how many G35's total were built, how many coupes, sedans, 6MT's, etc....to which nobody has been able to produce any

This poll is biased, IE - only people on G35Driver will participate (duh!).

The only ones represented in this poll are those who are enthusiastic about their Gs, and are most likely to have purchased an MT; therefore the polls should be pretty close to a 1:1 ratio for AT:MT.

I fall into the category of "purchased an AT, but wish is was MT." I only bought the AT because it was a sweet deal and had all the options I wanted, minus the transmission (Caribbean blue + black leather interior, spoiler, and NO navigation (don't want it)). I would love to have an MT. Shifting is fun and not, I repeat NOT a hassle. If you think shifting is a hassle then you shouldn't be in an MT.

Just my $0.02

I couldn't have said both of your points better my self. If you have a problem with shifting in traffic, do not call your self a car enthusiast. Don't complain about shifting.

Also, I think this is a very good representation of the ratio of 5AT to 6MT on G35Driver.com but that is it. I have three neighbors that have G coupes and all three of them are 5AT. I'd say most of the G35's you see on the road driven by a non enthusiast is 5AT. I'm pretty sure there are much more 5AT drivers on the road.

This is just my opinion.

Yes, the majority of the g35's are manual. I can say that MOST of the people on these forums drive their g35 as a daily, which can explain why the ratio is about 1:1

yea it pretty much means your ride is boring and you'll never get to really enjoy the car if you cant drive it.. it just drive you around.. automatically.

See when I take my car to the track and take of the line getting it 2 redline.. then slam it into second and so on.. aghh the rush .. you on the other hand just sit there .. boring boring boring.

in manual mode i decide when it shifts, and when i get a shift kit, it will shift far faster than you can ever dream of shifting
