Thumbs down Tear in my tint :(

I noticed a little rip in my tint, looks like it's dragging on something in the door.

I can also hear the glass rattle when my window is down and I shut my door. Sometimes with heavy bass I hear it and some bumps. Is this the window thingy that needs to be replaced? The noise is pissing me off, I'm not too worried about the tint but I'm not going to retint it until the window is fixed.

What else could it be? Do I need to take it to infiniti or is this and easier fix than I think...

I hear my window rattle when I shut my door as well. It's annoying as hell but the window still closes fine. I think I actually saw a tiny rip/tear in the tint as well. I don't feel like getting my tints redone though.

I have this exact problem and it was caused by POOR warranty work by infiniti of Scottsdale.

My window tint has streaks of tears/ fading and one big circular spot, the window is rubbing on something and it rattles when shutting the door.

also when you open the driver door it doesn't slide down that 1/2 inch.

Is Infiniti of Scottsdale the one next to Five Star Ford?

Well me and j 4 lD drive sedans so we don't have the 1/2" window clearance thing. But yea that's what I noticed first the streaks, then it turned into a tiny tear then it got a little bigger now it's not changing... Its maybe 1mm wide and 3mm long but it pisses me off.

I had this problem with my car, you need to open your door panel and find what it's tearing on, and file it down with a dremel - whether its the regulator, motor, or just some random bracket in your door.

I remember reading something about getting new (shorter) window regulator bolts to fix or at least help fix this issue. Anyone else heard of this fix? Apparently you can pick up the new bolts from a Nissan dealership for a few dollars and then do the repair yourself. Or if you're under warranty just find a good dealership and have them fix it for you.
