Since I've had both...STI.

Provided it hasn't been modded and beat to hell. I'd be very reluctant to get a used one.

STi's are easy. They're already boosted.

G35 = High Class (unless you're a tool who makes it look like poopsauce). V6 vs Flat4. Bigger engine and more room to work ultimately. Even though its AT, you can get the valve body and torque converter upgrade and push some real power through it.

2 different beasts. what do you ultimately want? luxury and refinement or raw power?
drive the STi and you should have a much better idea.

You wanna look like a tool (blue dream)? Then get the subaru,
give me a maserati and i'll sell it to get an 05+ coupe g35

moral of the story? Don't be a tool...

My friend has an 07 STI he even spent another 10K on upgrades and let me tell you its fast. He likes my G for the luxury and how ladies look at it. I live in the sierra nevadas and wish i would have gotten a STI just because in the winter my G spends it in the garage. The STI with tire change can work real well winter. So it depends on what you like and what type of weather you will be driving in. But i am 6MT kinda guy.

Its a hard choice for me because i want a four door as well as a manual and that AWD wouldn't be bad for winter. But i love my g. Its about even with both cars there are things i like about the g that the sti doesn't have and viceversa. And the sti i am lookin at is clean and completely stock. Im going after work to test drive one. Thanks for the input guys.

Go with the STI since it seems like you want it, although if you can't sell your car very easily, keep it

Choices....?

It's a shame the STI doesn't come in a coupe, why would you want those two extra doors? Most 4 doors you see are "Granny" cars with the exception of a few here on Driver! If you get this STI hopefully you know how to correctly drive a MT. If not do a two day rental so you only screw up their clutch/trans....

This is a very old and no longer valid stereotype.

CTS-V, G35 Sedan, STI, EVO, G8, 335i/M3, Lexus IS, M5, S6, The new SHO, Legacy

just wait couple more months and get a used 09 wrx, faster than STI and lighter.

I had an 06 Stage 2 STi prior to buying the G35. It had a miserably crappy and cheap interior, lots of rattles and squeaks, and drew the wrong kind of attention. If you are trying to achieve that boy-racer image, go for the STi. If you like a refined vehicle that looks nicer and is built better, stay with the G.
