Question 2007 G35... 2 keys... Valet Key?

I recently purchased a 2007 Loaded Infiniti G35 6mt Sedan.

The owner had all the paper-work, maintenance records, first aid kit, manuals, etc.

They gave me two key fobs with the two keys inside. Only thing is that they cannot find the valet key. They claim to have never used it. They recall it coming in a plastic pouch but they can't find it.

My question is, since they know my address and all the information. Will they be able to come to my house and take my car with the valet key?

When I take the car for service can Infiniti do anything to change the codes in the key? Is there a charge?

Thank you

Adam

BTW is there anything else that comes in the new car that I should have?

I'm pretty sure the valet key won't open the doors.

the only key that wont start the car is the WALLET KEY, when i got my car it had two sets of keys (infiniti logo is chrome) Valet key (logo is black) and the wallet key, small metal key on a plastic credit card like holder.

all will open the door, the other two turn on the car except for the wallet key atleast from what i have tried on my car

There is no valet key for cars equiped with intelligent keys.

The ONLY key that will start an 07 sedan is the intelligent key. The car should come with two however it is possible to pair up to four.

To valet park, shut off the trunk release power in the glove box. Then lock the glove box and center pass through in the back seat with the metal key located inside the i-key. Give the valet your i-key keeping the metal key.

If you are really paranoid and think the previous owner had more than two i-keys paired to the car, go to the dealer and have them re-pair your two i-keys to the car (both i-keys have to be there at the same time). That way your car will only recognize the two keys in your possesion. The metal keys will still open the doors unless you change out the locks.

The car should still be under warranty, so you might be able to get them to do it for free if you say one of the i-keys do not work all the time and that you are not sure which one it is.

There is also a metal tag(s) that came with the new car that has a series of numbers on it. It is used to re-cut metal keys if you should ever lose both of your metal keys.

My car came with 2 fobs with keys, an all black standard key and the wallet key.

The intelli key is pretty sick, but then you have 1 less key!
