+1, those "hidden damages" may cost 4-5 grand to fix.

I was rear ended by a Toyota 4 Runner going 60+ mph. I was at a dead stop for about 50 seconds before I heard a loud "explosion" and my head slammed onto the head rest. Looked at my rear view mirror and saw nothing but headlights. And a big azz car.

I was in a little teg. Costed 4.5 grand to repair. I wasn't insured. Just a headache from the impact.

Went to a chriopractor for 1 month. Got a check for 10k.

I would sue that driver for as much as you can get. I had a similar experience and till this day i still have back pain from 8 years ago. Its not about the injury you currently have but in the long run how it will affect you in the future. At least you aren't in too bad of a shape. Good luck and hope you get well fast.

Wow, very fortunate.... I just settled my case from a guy T-boning us on 285 here in GA, then proceeding to say I hit him.
I wasn't badly hurt but my wife had 15 small tares in her right rotator cuff and one large one and both of us had a lot of pain from muscles and bones being outta alignment from the side impact.

Together we got around $15k, you my friend have a substantial injury that could have cost you your life or your legs... Call a lawyer and let them run with it. Seriously. I see enought to buy you a new G37 if you want it at least.

You had a poor quality c-spine x-ray, as they should include all of C7, yours barely shows the top of C7. A spinous process fracture is minimally worrisome when it comes to cervical spine fractures, what I would be more concerned about is ligamentous injury and subsequent instability. Unlikely you would require surgery but definitely keep the collar on until you are seen by neurosurgery or at least have an MRI, or flexion/extension views at a minumum.

I had a full cat scan done including more x-rays. These are just for reference for you guys A pin may be neccesary if the piece does not fuse back in 2-3 months. However I am having pain when carrying a backpack at school and sleeping at night. No carrying books and codiene for sleep. Lawyer has been contacted.
