Well they are making a G25 soon. Would make a great contender for a hybrid.

I wonder where the G25 turbo will be priced relative to the G37?

by some kind of miracle i manage to get 390 miles to the tank. i only did it once and never been able to get that again. no i get between 320 to 340. A tune up will help especially if you get iridium plugs. I got those now and besides the noticeable extra power it improved gas mileage. did it on my coupe and on a 04 sedan, same results.

new platimum tipped spark plugs and air filter, 93 gasoline from chevron or mobile, O2 sensors and all other sensors work fine according to the diagnostic, still driving gently, bg air intake system cleaner process was done, and car is still running rich. getting only 11 mpg or about 190miles per tank after 18 gal fillup. as much as i love it, i wish i never got this coupe sometimes. =/

just as a follow up and to give you doubtful owners more hope... I have an 03.5 sedan with 151k and I get roughly 320-340 miles per tank.. ~22-23 mpg

I only started observing this after a meticulous tune up and the plenum spacer/exhaust mods... before that I got ~17 mpg

I haven't got less than 20 mpg yet in my 06 6MT coupe. And I drive kinda hard sometimes. semi-city driving mostly.

I found the upper half of the gas gauge to be extremely inaccurate/non-linear. After about half way it's consistent.

Also based on your picture you are achieving like 10MPG which is highly unlikely. My guess is your sending unit is out of whack or something related to that. Best way to test is run it as empty as possible and proceed to fill up and see how many gallons it takes.

extremely inaccurate??

i dont know about extreme

its pretty close for me

The gas tank is not a perfect square or rectangle and the fluid takes whatever shape the tank is, which causes the gauge to read weird in that case.

i usually get 400 miles to the tank but its all high way to work.

from full to 3/4 i get 100 miles
3/4 to 1/2 200 miles
1/2 to 1/4 300 miles

yea i dont go by the needle at all. it was just to give you all an idea. it is pretty accurate though. i usually fill her up with about 18 gals and my trip A registers about 185-195 miles which is just sad. then i reset trip A after fillup and do it all over again and get the same results time after time. i pretty much just use it to go to work now. i wish i could get 17mpg. =/

I was just going to post a new thread that I get 16.7MPG driving conservative short distance trips. Now I find this thread and I realize my fuel economy is normal. I drive an 06 G35x.

That thing must be running way rich, that's not a good thing...can wear rings and more if enough fuel gets in the oil. Have you pulled the plugs? do they look like this?
